enrietta Charlotte’s love for the Queen and royalty was so intense that she traveled all the way to Delhi in 1911 to steal a glance of the queen at the grand Delhi Durbar. With the help of a British Government officer by name Stuart, she managed to acquire a porcelain teapot and a picnic hamper that is said to have been among the crockery used by the visiting royals from the  official English Caterers.

The teapot and the picnic hamper still remain in the custody of this estate. The Tea Pot and Royal Picnic Hamper have tasted Chef August Escoffers menu. While the Tea Pot was in the custody of Mrs. Flossy, the Picnic Hamper went to the listing of the Tiperary Hotel, then a property of Rahms family. The English Tea Pot and the Hamper reached The STEVE BORGIA INDIAN HERITAGE MUSEUM through a Chettiar family, who are said to have been acquires of the mansion from the Rahms.

The Tea Pot is a piece of art, aesthetics and hygiene. The mechanism works picture perfect until this day. The Pot does not have a porcelain lid. Instead, has a quilt cork to absorb the vapour. The outlet nozzle has a lid that can be closed to avoid insects from creeping. It is indeed a work of art.
